And there to ‘communicate the theme’ were chefs Alessandro Sandrolini, Devraj Halder, Keisuke Uno, Manish Mehrotra and Sabyasachi Gorai, who delighted the audience with live demonstrations of the world’s best cuisines. Ramola Bachchan and friends were teamed up with chefs, each pair dishing out their favourite recipes. While Gorai and Ramola cooked up a Mediterranean Couscous with Herbed Prawns and Tomato, Sandrolini and Mandira Koirala whipped up a Beef Tenderloin with Red Wine Reduction Gnocchi and Roasted Mushrooms. The other pairs tried innovative things like Stuffed Chillies with Goat Cheese Mousse.
Ramola didn’t just assist the chef, she also nibbledat some of the more exotic offerings. When asked about Aishwarya RaiBachchan’s pregnancy, she said, I’m delighted.
